Welcome to Newly Affiliated Brother, Cayce Ritter


Cayce Ritter, our brother from University of Northern Alabama’s Eta Rho chapter, transferred to the University of Memphis this fall. Our chapter unanimously voted for Cayce to affiliate with Epsilon Kappa. We are excited to welcome him into our chapter. We know he will make great contributions to Epsilon Kappa.

Epsilon Kappa Brings Home Three Awards from BLTW!!


On August 1st-4th, 8 brothers went to the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop at Purdue University and Epsilon Kappa received three awards. Epsilon Kappa was awarded a Peterson Significant Chapter Award, a Legion of Honor, and a RMF award and grant of $1000. This is the tenth time in the last eleven years that our chapter has won a Peterson. The Legion of Honor is only awarded to the top six scholarship programs in the nation, and the RMF award and grant are only awarded to the top 5 risk management programs nationwide. These three awards exemplify the work that our brothers have put in to maintain our chapter’s high standards. Congratulations to our brothers for theses great awards!

Sigma Chi is First in Grades!

Epsilon Kappa Chapter had the highest GPA out of all the fraternities at the the University of Memphis for the 2013 spring semester. This is the 3rd straight semester that Epsilon Kappa has been first in grades in the IFC. Sigma Chi had the second highest GPA in the entire Greek community. Epsilon Kappa also had the highest new member GPA for the 9th time in the last ten semesters. Congratulations to all of our brothers and keep up the good work!

Kaylee Willis has been elected the 2013-14 Epsilon Kappa Chapter Sweetheart. Kaylee is a senior sports and leisure major from Munford, TN. She is also the president of her sorority, the Zeta Omega Chapter of Kappa Delta and on the Up ‘Til Dawn executive board as the Publicity Chair. Congratulations and welcome to our new Sweetheart! We look forward to an exciting year with her.

Delta Sigma Pledge Class has been Initiated

Sigma Chi Volunteers with Special Olympics


Epsilon Kappa chapter had the privilege to volunteer with Special Olympics of Greater Memphis and be a part of their track and field event of 2013 last weekend at Rhodes College. Brothers spent the day with the incredible athletes and watched them compete in various track and field events. Bonding with the athletes was a great experience for our brothers and Epsilon Kappa Chapter looks forward to working with Special Olympics more in the future.

Sigma Chi Brothers Win Academic Honors in Journalism


Brothers John Stevenson and Taylor Oaks won major awards at the University of Memphis Journalism Awards Banquet. Brother John Stevenson was awarded Outstanding Advertising Student of the Year, and Taylor Oaks was awarded Outstanding Public Relations Student of the Year. Congratulations to our brothers for their hard work and dedication to achieving these awards and representing Epsilon Kappa Chapter.
